We lost one of our strongest supporters in a quick exit to the next life. We grieve with David Taffet; we had just videoed their wedding with in the last year with a few hundred friends. The video has yet to be made public.
On March 10, we had to do the unthinkable, saying goodbye too soon to Brian — and the impossible, trying to ease David’s heartbreak. An emotional service led by Cantor Don Croll and Rabbi Steve Fisch, with musical tributes from Leza Mesiah and the Turtle Creek Chorale, brought family and friends together with Congregation Beth El Binah at Northaven UMC. All of Brian’s family is in our prayers, and additional blessings for David’s health in this time of overwhelming grief. — with David Taffet.
In today’s Lambda weekly session, we limp along trying to take the social temperature of the White House and the State Capital in Austin. The battle for Trans Rights is still on the horizon, worst of all is, all the kids that will be damaged, while the politicians argue this subject. Why can they just do the right thing?
