On May 22, people across the globe will celebrate Harvey Milk Day and the life story, message, and legacy of slain civil rights leader Harvey Milk.
Join the Dallas Community as we honor his memory and celebrate his message of hope on his birthday to empower and inspire all disenfranchised communities.
Our 2015 theme, LET HOPE SHINE, seeks to inspire you to live Harvey’s dream and to be beacons of hope in our community. Bring candles, glow sticks, flash lights, battery operated bulbs etc. to add a light in the night to this year’s celebration and march!
We will gather at 8pm, Friday, May 22 at the Legacy of Love Monument (located at the intersection of Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs) for celebration, inspiration, a jubilant light up march through the heart of the “Gayborhood” and a birthday cake reception at Throckmorton Mining Company (TMC) with fabulous speakers and entertainers!
